Day 1
Experience the transformative journey towards mastering Appendix Inside-the-Waistband (AIWB) in our immersive 3-day AIWB Path to Performance Course. Day 1 sets the stage by uncovering the unparalleled efficiency and ergonomic advantages of AIWB carry compared to other concealed carry methods. Our exploration begins with an introduction followed by a thorough safety briefing, delving into the intricacies of AIWB gear and its impact on performance. Participants are guided through the process of zeroing their red dots, while diving deep into body posture mechanics and recoil management. Various draw styles, including the innovative "Wave" Grip, are meticulously examined alongside an in-depth analysis of Fitts Law principles, optimizing target acquisition. The day culminates with practical drills like the 3 & 2 Drill, reinforcing red dot performance in close-quarter scenarios.
Day 2
Students will build upon the foundational skills established in Day 1, focusing on refining marksmanship proficiency within the AIWB carry framework. Multiple starting positions are reviewed and practiced for efficiency to complement your AIWB carry. A specialized emphasis on trigger control unlocks precision, dissecting the nuanced "walls" of trigger manipulation. Participants are introduced to three distinct modes of practice—Accuracy, Speed, and Real—tailored to fine-tune shooting prowess across varying scenarios. The day places emphasis on distance shooting and seamless transitions between targets, utilizing shape-based drills to enhance skillset.
Day 3
Students embrace speed as the epitome of efficient movement while engaging in micro drills designed to improve both speed and accuracy. The culmination of the course sees participants putting their newfound talents to the test in a mini-match, embracing the benefits of friendly competition. The rigorous Black Belt Standards assessment challenges students to showcase their acquired skills under pressure.
Upon completion all participants will receive a certificate along with a comprehensive package of resources and policy documents tailored to assist individuals in advocating for the adoption of RDS pistols within their respective departments or organizations. These resources include an outline of the course curriculum, detailed explanations on common challenges for not finding the dot, and strategies for effectively implementing RDS training programs. Armed with these invaluable tools, students will not only excel in their own instructional endeavors but also serve as catalysts for advancing RDS technology within their communities and organizations.
